About

Alix Schyns
Born in Belgium in 1991, Alix Schyns is a self-taught artist whose painting explores the connection between Spirit and matter. In search of meaning from an early age, meditation became for her a path of inner exploration, giving rise to a deep need for expression and sharing.

Guided by this impulse, Alix turned to painting. Alchemy took place: color became language, gesture became prayer. She developed a unique and intuitive technique combining fluid acrylics and contemporary mediums, revealing light within matter.
Since 2020, she has been living in the heart of the Ardèche mountains in France, where the surrounding nature nourishes her inspiration. Through her abstract and vibrant works, Alix invites viewers on a journey beyond the image — a meeting with the subtle. Here, the artwork becomes a mirror, a space for inner dialogue where the spirit manifested on the canvas awakens that of the observer.

Through her poetic approach, she offers a free and luminous art, rooted in the purity of the heart. Her universe, both sensitive and powerful, invites us to silently contemplate our true nature.

My work is rooted in the exploration light, energy, and depth in order to honor the creative breath. Painting, for me, is a space of transformation where the subtle takes form. I am drawn to how energy, intention, and presence imprint themselves onto matter and become visible through color, texture, and movement.

My process is intuitive and spontaneous. This dialogue between mastery and surrender reflects the delicate balance between human intention and the vital force that flows through all creation. Freed from fear and desire, the ego fades, allowing the creative flow to express itself in its purest form.

I conceive each canvas as a space of resonance where the viewer is invited to feel rather than to understand — to enter into a heart-to-heart connection. The work does not impose meaning; it offers an experience — that of an inner encounter with the essential.

Thus, my approach is rooted in a search for unity between the visible and the invisible, matter and spirit. It celebrates the possibility of an art that carries light and grace — an outstretched hand inviting each of us to rediscover ourselves as “a Star among the stars,” at the heart of our true essence.
